Redheart Appaloosa Stud specialises in the breeding, showing, production, and promotion of 100% FPD, GAP 5/6 & FAHR registered Appaloosas. Our breeding programme is designed to preserve and enhance the qualities the Appaloosa is renowned for:

Registration Standards
We aim to quadruple register all eligible foals with:
Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC)
Appaloosa Horse Club UK (ApHC UK)
British Appaloosa Society (BApS)
Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry (FAHR)
We focus on breeding forward to produce 5‑ and 6‑generation Foundation Appaloosa pedigrees, leaving behind the Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, and Arabian influence found in many registered Appaloosas.
Our breeding herd and youngstock typically range from 15hh to 16hh+.

Sales Terms
All sales are subject to contract, with the Stud retaining first option to repurchase.
All colts are castrated at the Stud unless otherwise agreed.
Passports and all registration documents are transferred to the new owner by the Stud.
Foal Handling & Welfare Standards
Redheart foals are imprinted at birth and will never leave the Stud without being able to:
Stand & Tie up
Lead
Load & Travel
Accept a rug or sheet
All sales are open to full veterinary examinations, and a mortality certificate can be arranged for foals remaining at the Stud for insurance purposes.
All horses are kept up to date with:
Farrier
Worming
Vaccinations
Foals begin their primary vaccination course at 6 months old.

Grey gene
Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)
Their DNA is registered with ApHC, ApHC UK, FAHR, and BApS.
Only by breeding from negative parents can the foal be negative.
