The Class of 2025
Despite their varying due dates, the Class of 2025 arrived within just a few days of one another.
Our three maiden mares all did well with their deliveries, although a little assistance was needed with Rodeo, who arrived as a particularly large colt.
With our herd leader, Catori, absent this year, Ru and Evee have been competing for the top position, while Indy’s lack of social skills made the introduction process a little more challenging when it came time to bring all the mares and their foals together in one paddock.
Each mare spent time bonding with her foal initially, but it took patience and careful management before they could all be safely introduced to one another. Eventually, in a controlled and secure environment, harmony was achieved.
Now we can sit back and enjoy watching the mares gradually loosen their apron strings as the five foals begin to interact, play, and form friendships of their own.
