Varnish Roan and The Varnish Roan with LP (LP/lp or LP/LP negative for the PATN1 gene).
Certainly, one of our favourite coat patterns of the Appaloosa, here at the Stud.
We have bred and bought black and bay Varnish Roan’s, their coat patterns are just incredible.
Here are a few images of their coat changes from foal to adulthood
