Compliments……
I received with compliments from The British Appaloosa Society some memorable photos from their National Breed Show. HONOURED.
As a child I was brought up on a working farm in Cwmbran, South Wales. I used to spend my days pulling up docks in the fields, creosoting the fences, white washing the stables and washing out the water tanks in order to have a pony.
I obtained many other rides in my early teenage days and learnt a little from each one. Every horse was different in size, nature, ability and scope. I very quickly learnt how to achieve the very best from that individual in whatever discipline.
At the age of eighteen I headed off to West Oxfordshire carrying on my education in land management and business studies in the Thoroughbred world. During this time many doors opened,
In 1997 a vacancy at a National Hunt Trainer in Gloucestershire opened a new chapter in my life with the availability of stables and land located nearby. Confidently starting training and competing point to pointers as a hobby.
2007 I started working at The Three Counties Equine Hospital LLP. This has been the most enjoyable and rewarding place of work. I am proud to be part of a dedicated team moving forward in the Veterinary world, full of new and exciting technology to aid the equine industry.
With no horses in my life during my “brood mare” days, I can honestly say it must be a disease in the blood! It wasn’t long before I longed for some kind of “equine interest” and challenge .
Off to France to import Peyres Catori Cat in 2008 and off to Austria to collect and import Princesse Pascale in 2009!
My foundation stock to build upon, Redheart Appaloosas today.

Today we travelled to the Royal London Show held at Onley Equestrian Centre near Rugby. Our first visit to this show ground was five years ago, each year structural improvements have been made but this year I can honestly say the development has increased the premises to a higher standard. The schedule offers many classes to suit […]
What a lovely surprise in yesterday’s post, a picture of Hevans EV Catorrius at Royal Windsor Horse Show in May 2014. Winner of young stock & Reserve Champion
Another great success for Emma Feltham’s mare Mischief Maker, back in the ring taking the Coloured class at Cadam. Winning the “Best Appaloosa” sponsored by Redheart Appaloosas. Champion again…… Mischief Maker with Emma Feltham’s daughter Jordan. Fantastic result and many congratulations to all involved.
There is something very special that I cannot explain about being in the ring with my mother. I know she is proud of me and I know she is apprehensive about leading the babies. My mother completes the task without question and gives it her all. I am very proud of her and am thankful […]
Arriving at Hartpury Equestrian Centre on the ‘right day’, was a good start. Hevans EV Cattorrius & Hevans EV Pascalius were both warmed up, shown around and dressed over in time for our first class. The first thing I noticed was the amazing surface in the indoor arena, level and compact made running easier for the daisy cutter…… […]
Friday 15th August. There is a lot of preparation the night before a show. Finishing work I collected my girls from their “Kids Club”, got the horses in from their fields, worked Reus, bathed and plaited him. Frank came and worked Evee, I then bathed and plaited her. A few other jobs completed and all was good […]
The ApHC UK National Supreme Champion sponsored by Redheart Appaloosas. Delighted to announce the winner was Capitall Lola with Mrs Joan Sillitoe from Cumbria. Lola is a seven-year old mare out of Maybe by Mannog Moonriver standing at Monnog Appaloosas. Lola didn’t go home with Joan that day, she went to her new home with Robinsong Appaloosas , good luck to them. Joan Sillitoe with Capitall […]
Keen to leave at 5am, I then realise it was too dark to turn Hevans EV Cateaster out into the field because she has night blindness. As soon as it was light enough Easter, Catori and PP were turned out and we loaded Hevans EV Pascalius and Hevans EV Catorrius into the lorry. A straight run up the M5 to Warwickshire College, […]
We are all ready for the Appaloosa Club UK National Show tomorrow. Last years silver has been cleaned and engraved. Looking at the 2013 winnings of Hevans EV Catorrius it was a pleasure to read the previous winners and wonderful to know Reus’s name is engraved along side some outstanding horses. The Yearling Colt Trophy , The Male Champion, […]
